Hello to all our members and guests. This thread is to announce the start of the
2007 Spiral Awards for Erotic MC Stories and Writing. If you remember the 2005 Awards, these are almost exactly the same, and here are just the basic "rules" to it (for a complete description of the rules, please visit the website listed, below).
1) Any erotic MC story, from any public online story site, that reached it's conclusion in the calendar year 2007, is eligible for these awards.
2) There will be a category for each type, or color, story (i.e., red, blue, yellow, green, and purple).
3) Anyone is eligible to nominate what they consider the best stories in each category. Up to THREE nominations, in each of the five categories, from each person, is allowed. That is, if you turn in as many nominations as allowed, you will submit a maximum of fifteen of them, three in each colored category.
4) You can turn in any amount below those fifteen, as well. If there are only two stories you deem worthy of such consideration, nominate just those two. If you decide later to add more, up to your allowable limit, then simply send them in as well.
5) When the nomination deadline is reached, the five stories in each category with the most nominations will become the finalists, at which time voting will commence. Unlike nominations, you will be limited to ONE vote per each colored category.
6) When the five nominees in each category have been determined, all 25 possible authors under consideration will be canvessed to see if they want to remove their story(s) from finalist consideration. If this happens, and time permitting, we will attempt to contact those who nominated those removed stories to see if they would like to make an alternate selection.
7) Both nominations, and eventually votes, can be IM'd to any of the following members:

For those who are not a member of the forums, or who simply wish to, you may also email your nominations and eventual votes to any of these five panelists. Nomination Round - March 24th 00:00 GMT to April 5th 23:59 GMT
Finalist Voting Round - April 7th 00:00 GMT to April 19th 23:59 GMT
... with the winners being announced as quickly as all the votes can be compiled and tabulated by the panel members.
So, nothing to it, really... if you can come up with one, two or three nominations in any or all of the color-coded categories, for any erotic MC story, from any site (e.g., there are some fine stories on the two forums, too, along with LiteErotica, StoriesOnline, etc.), then just fire off your picks via IM or email to any of the five panelists listed above, and off we go.
We'd love all the participation possible, as we'd like these awards to be the best, and most wide-reaching, they can possibly be. Anyone who reads these announcement and enjoys reading erotic MC stories is more than welcome to participate, and the panel's thanks in advance to anyone, and everyone, who does.

Note: Hopefully announcements like this will be showing up on the MC Forum and The Collective soon, as well. Also, we're having trouble with IE6 being able to access the "Vote" area of the website. It seems to work on Netscape. But we won't be voting for a couple of weeks, and this area isn't needed for anyone to be able to vote, anyway, so we'll continue to work on it.
